The Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre South, Damata Ama Appianimaa Salam, is on a thank-you tour. She wants to express her gratitude for the support she received in the 2024 elections.

She highlighted the importance of the Affirmative Action Bill. This bill aims to increase female representation in government to at least 30%. It was passed into law on July 30, 2024, thanks to the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection.
The MP encouraged women to pursue leadership roles. She called on them to follow her example in public service.
She also noted the rising interest among Ghanaian girls in STEM fields. Miss Appianimaa Salam is optimistic about achieving gender parity soon.
She emphasized education's critical role and the need to prevent teenage pregnancies. She advocated for reintroducing traditional rites like Bragro as tools for instilling discipline and values.
Otumfuo Fontomfromhemaa spoke on behalf of the Queen Mothers. She reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the MP’s efforts. Education remains vital for breaking barriers and ensuring success for girls in Afigya Kwabre South.
