Aflao: Shock as 5-year-old girl is killed in suspected ritual murder

The Aflao community in Ketu South Municipality is in shock. A five-year-old girl was reportedly killed on the evening of May 12, 2025.

The girl went missing after her mother stepped out briefly. Her mother left her and a younger sibling asleep at home. When she returned, the child was gone, prompting a frantic search.

During the search, they found blood-stained clothing on the property of Ahiable Yao David. He is a fan milk vendor and a member of a local church choir.

Police were notified immediately and launched an investigation. They searched David's room and found a buried pot under his bed. The pot contained human body parts believed to belong to the missing girl.

Ahiable Yao David is currently at large. Law enforcement is actively pursuing him. The incident has left residents mourning and in disbelief.

Many are struggling to understand such brutality and are demanding justice. Authorities urge anyone with information about David’s whereabouts to contact them immediately.
