Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), visited Her Excellency Virginia Palmer. She is the former United States Ambassador to Ghana.
He was joined by Deputy Chief Executives Dr. Sheila Addo and Dr. Dramani Bukari. Other attendees included Mr. Kodwo Abbiw Jackson and Mrs. Genevieve Bissue.
The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between the NPA and the US Embassy. It also sought to foster partnerships for both Ghana and the United States.
During the meeting, Mr. Tameklo emphasized improving relations in the petroleum sector. He mentioned Authentix, a US company that provides fuel authentication services to the NPA.
This program helps ensure fuel quality and prevents dilution or adulteration. It also aids in recovering tax revenue from fuel sales.
Ambassador Virginia Palmer expressed the US Embassy’s commitment to supporting Ghana. She highlighted efforts to attract American investments and strengthen Ghana's energy sector.
The visit was an important step toward deepening strategic partnerships in the petroleum industry. It reinforced Ghana’s role on a global scale in this sector.
