The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ahanta West, Hon. Ing. Ebenezer Aidoo, has met with the chiefs, elders, and residents of Apimanim. They discussed plans for a new cassava processing facility in the community.
This meeting is part of a larger strategy to boost local economic development. Hon. Aidoo praised the community for offering land for this project. He said this act shows their commitment to development.
He emphasized that the facility will create jobs and enhance agricultural growth. It will also add value to local cassava production.
Hon. Aidoo recently received strong support from the community when he was confirmed in office. He thanked the people of Apimanim for their cooperation on this initiative.
The proposed facility aims to connect local farmers with industrial markets. This aligns with Ghana’s national goals for agro-processing and sustainable development.
During his visit, Hon. Aidoo was joined by senior officials from the Assembly. They included Madam Joyce Akosua Angmorteh, Pln. Jalil Ali Mahama, and Mr. Dennis Adjei Antwi. The team assessed the site’s readiness for construction.
The chiefs and elders welcomed this initiative enthusiastically. They see it as a chance to create jobs for youth and drive socio-economic change. They promised full support to ensure its success.
This engagement highlights the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly's focus on participatory governance and community needs.
