The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ahanta West, Ing. Ebenezer Kofi Aidoo, is enhancing collaboration with traditional authorities. This effort aims to boost development in the municipality.
This week, the MCE visited Nana Eziaku IV, Chief of Agona Ahanta. He is also the Acting President of the Ahanta Traditional Council.
"This meeting aims to strengthen ties between our assembly and traditional leaders," said the MCE. "A healthy relationship with our chiefs is vital for peace and progress."
They discussed key areas like education, healthcare, job creation, and peacebuilding. These areas are essential for unlocking development potential in Ahanta West.
Both leaders agreed on the need for coordinated efforts in education and health sectors.
"We are dedicated to improving education in our municipality," stated Nana Eziaku IV.
Regarding job creation, they pledged to engage stakeholders for economic growth. They aim to promote inclusive socio-economic development together.
"Facilitating rapid development in Ahanta West is my priority," said Ing. Aidoo. "We must sustain peace and avoid stagnation."
This visit supports a broader strategy by the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly. It seeks to integrate traditional authorities into local governance planning and implementation.
