Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, has refuted allegations by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin that he has not received any reports on the ministerial vetting process.
Afenyo-Markin has repeatedly accused the Committee’s Clerk, Gifty Jiagge-Gobah, of partisanship and unprofessionalism. However, Ahiafor dismissed these claims, insisting that the Minority Leader is always provided with a copy of the vetting report.
“There is nothing the Clerk has done without authorization. Your claim that you have not received the draft report is unfounded because I personally ensure you get a copy,” Ahiafor stated.
He condemned Afenyo-Markin’s remarks and urged him to apologize to the Clerk, emphasizing that she deserves respect for her work.
