Ahmed Suale murder: Key suspect Daniel Owusu Koranteng to face court today

Daniel Owusu Koranteng is the main suspect in the 2019 murder of journalist Ahmed Suale. He is set to appear in court today, Wednesday, April 2.

Koranteng's arrest has raised concerns about his role in Suale's killing. Suale was known for investigating corruption in Ghana’s political scene.

He was a key member of the Tiger Eye PI team led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas. Tragically, Suale was murdered in Madina, Accra, in January 2019. His death sparked outrage both nationally and internationally.

Investigators have identified Koranteng, also known as Akwasi Amakye, as a key figure. They allege he was near the crime scene when Suale was ambushed and shot.

In addition to murder charges, Koranteng faces accusations of betrayal. He allegedly provided Suale’s photographs to a politician linked to the murder.
