Daniel Owusu Koranteng, the main suspect in the 2019 murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, is set to appear in court today, April 2.
His arrest has reignited interest in Suale’s assassination, which drew national and international condemnation. Suale, a key investigator with Tiger Eye PI under Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was shot dead in Madina, Accra.
Authorities allege Koranteng, also known as Akwasi Amakye, was near the crime scene during the attack. Beyond murder charges, he is accused of betraying Suale by leaking his photographs to a politician allegedly linked to the killing.
The case is expected to shed light on lingering questions surrounding Suale’s tragic death and the broader fight against corruption in Ghana.
