Ahmed Suale’s murder: Prosecution amends charges against suspect

The prosecution has revised the charges against Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a suspect in the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale.

He now faces a charge of abetment to commit murder.

The update was announced in court on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Koranteng, who has been on remand since his arrest, was initially charged with murder on March 19.

Prosecutors allege he shared images of Ahmed Suale before his death and was near the crime scene when the journalist was killed in January 2019.

The court has ordered his continued remand, with the case adjourned to April 17.
