Air Force takes over guard duties at presidency

The Ghana Air Force has taken over guard duties at the Presidency. This change became effective yesterday.

The Air Force replaced the Navy during a colorful ceremony in Accra.

President John Dramani Mahama attended as the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Several ministers were also present, including:

- Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah
- Interior Minister Alhaji Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka
- Labour Minister Dr. Hassan Abdul-Rashid Pelpuo

Other attendees included Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and Chief of Defence Staff Major General William Agyapong, along with senior officials from the Presidency.
