Airport East Circuit Methodist Church Ghana Honours 75 Members for Dedication, Sacrifice

Seventy-five members of the Immanuel Society of the Methodist Church Ghana were honored. They were recognized for their dedication and sacrifice in establishing the society.

Among those honored, 44 were named Founding Members. Three members received awards for championing the founding of the Airport East Circuit. Nine were recognized for their remarkable leadership roles. Thirteen members were acknowledged for their support to the Immanuel Society. Five received awards for evangelism and mission work, while eleven were recognized for volunteer services. Two members were honored for social services.

The recognition service took place in Accra on Sunday. Very Reverend Helena Opoku-Sarkodie led the event as Superintendent Minister of Airport East Circuit. She emphasized the importance of these individuals who left their comfort zones to build a thriving worship community.

Reverend Opoku-Sarkodie noted that the Immanuel Methodist Society began in a classroom over 30 years ago. It has since grown significantly and now boasts a 1,500-seater chapel nearing completion. This growth is a testament to the vision and perseverance of its founding members.
