Akandoh pledges to fix faulty elevator at Korle Bu

Minister of Health, Mintah Akandoh, assured that repairs are underway at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. This includes fixing the elevator in the maternity ward.

He made this statement during a visit to inspect the facility. His visit followed public complaints about poor conditions there.

“Some issues have already been identified, and steps have been taken,” he said.

He recalled his previous engagement with the hospital regarding the lifts. “When I became minister, the Acting CEO urged me to fix them,” he noted.

The minister approved repairs for the lift and received an update on progress. He stated it is currently being worked on and will be fixed soon.

Akandoh emphasized his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure nationwide. He assured that Korle-Bu remains a top priority for improvements.
