Akatsi North DCE Nominee Gets 100% Endorsement

**New District Chief Executive Approved in Akatsi North**

The Akatsi North District Assembly has approved Mr. Bless Kodjo Katamani as the new District Chief Executive (DCE).

All 18 assembly members voted unanimously in favor of him. This includes 12 elected members and 6 government appointees. Their decision shows a 100 percent endorsement for Mr. Katamani.

Mr. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, addressed the assembly members after the vote. He noted that this victory means Mr. Katamani received more than the required two-thirds majority.

In his victory message, Mr. Katamani expressed excitement and gratitude to everyone involved. He thanked assembly members, chiefs, opinion leaders, and the public for their support.

He stated, "We have set new history today with this endorsement." He emphasized that this marks a new chapter for Akatsi North District.

Mr. Katamani highlighted the need for collaboration to develop education, sports, health, infrastructure, and roads in the area. He promised to keep his doors open to developmental ideas from all citizens.

He encouraged participation from chiefs, assembly members, stakeholders, and the public in decision-making processes. "My administration will be inclusive," he said.

Mr. Katamani also thanked President John Dramani Mahama for trusting him with this leadership role. He urged the youth to embrace this victory and work towards a brighter future.

Mr. Gunu praised the assembly members for their efforts during his remarks. He said their decision was not just about confirming nominees but about embracing a vision for growth and transformation.

He expressed joy at being part of Akatsi North's first DCE confirmation and hoped it would set an example for other districts.

Mr. Cephas Weto, an Assembly Member from Agormor Electoral Area, commented on the readiness of all members to work with Mr. Katamani.

Residents who spoke with Ghana News Agency thanked assembly members for their support. They urged them to focus on development across all areas of Akatsi North.

They reminded Mr. Katamani that much is expected from him as DCE based on this strong endorsement.

Mr. Katamani is now officially sworn into office by officials from the Electoral Commission.
