Akua Donkor goes home tomorrow

The late founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 29, in her hometown of Ejuratia.

The final burial rites, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, will bring together family, friends, political figures, and the public to honor her life and legacy.

Akua Donkor, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at Ridge Hospital in Accra, was a fearless advocate for farmers and women’s rights.

She carved a distinct space in Ghanaian politics, challenging the dominance of major parties.

Outspoken and passionate, she was both admired and controversial, leaving behind a lasting impact on the nation’s political landscape.
