President Akufo-Addo has accused political opponents of spreading false narratives, including allegations that he is responsible for the death of his late wife, Eleanor Akufo-Addo, and the controversial 'Agyapadie' document, which suggests a scheme for state capture.
Speaking at the Ghana Report Summit, the President urged Ghanaians to reject fake news and emphasized the importance of issue-based politics.
He warned of the dangers of misinformation, which can distort public perception and undermine democratic processes.
The President highlighted the need for accurate information as the 2024 elections approach, stressing the risks of societal division and violence from disinformation.
