Akufo-Addo’s level of poor governance is at a dizzying height – Martin Kpebu

Legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has criticized President Nana Akufo-Addo’s governance, labeling it the worst in Ghana’s history.

Speaking on Joy FM, Kpebu attributed the nation’s struggles to leadership failures and constitutional flaws.

“Our constitution is our biggest obstacle to development, weakening institutions, especially under poor leaders like Akufo-Addo,” Kpebu said, urging immediate reforms.

He highlighted issues like the cedi’s sharp depreciation, surging inflation, and a 13.9% unemployment rate in 2022. Environmental degradation from illegal mining and widespread corruption have also eroded public trust in government.

Kpebu emphasized the urgent need to overhaul the constitution to address systemic governance challenges and restore confidence in state institutions.
