All NPP national executives should be sacked – First Vice Chairman

Dankwa Smith Butey, the First National Vice Chairman of the NPP, has called for a complete leadership overhaul. He believes none of the current executives should be re-elected.

Butey stated that the national executives have failed to fulfill their duties. He insists they must be replaced before the 2028 general elections.

“We all need to go home for new leaders,” he said. “I’m not saying the current executives lack experience, but we have failed.”

He made these remarks during an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem. He cited the NPP's defeat in the 2024 elections as a significant reason for change.

“From 137 seats to 88 is a big blow,” he noted. “I didn’t expect us to lose, so it was surprising. For over two weeks, I couldn’t recover.”

Butey emphasized that the party needs bold steps to rebuild its base. This is essential for regaining public confidence and electoral strength.
