All SHSs to receive free tablets in October – Education Ministry

The Education Ministry announced that all Senior High Schools will receive free student tablets by October 2024.

President Akufo-Addo's Ghana Smart Schools Project aims to distribute Smart Tablets to 1.3 million SHS students to enhance technological skills under the free SHS policy.

As of May 2024, 70,000 tablets had been distributed to 30 schools out of the planned 450,000 schools.

Speaking at the International Educators Summit 2024, Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum assured that all schools would receive their tablets within the next few months, continuing the integration of technology in education.
