Ghanaian influencer and socialite Mona Faiz Montrage, widely known as Hajia4Reall, is preparing for self-deportation to Ghana after serving her sentence in the United States.

Legal representatives for the 30-year-old entrepreneur have officially filed a motion requesting the return of her passport, which was surrendered at the time of her arrest. The US government has consented to the request, which will see her escorted directly to Ghana with no layovers.

Hajia4Reall’s legal troubles began when she was implicated in a romance scam that defrauded unsuspecting American victims of over $2 million. She was extradited from the UK to the US in 2022 and pleaded guilty to several charges, including conspiracy to receive stolen money, attempted wire fraud, and money laundering.

In 2024, she was sentenced to one year and one day in prison at the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia.

As part of her sentencing, the court allowed Hajia4Reall to forfeit assets worth $2.16 million in lieu of paying restitution to the victims. Despite the legal setbacks, her supporters remain hopeful about her return to Ghana.

This self-deportation marks a new chapter for Hajia4Reall as she heads back to her home country, where she is likely to resume her social media career and business ventures.

As the situation unfolds, many are awaiting further details about her return and the next steps in her legal journey.
