The National Service Authority (NSA) has refuted allegations of payroll inflation and the inclusion of “ghost names” in the disbursement of allowances for National Service Personnel.
In a statement on December 16, NSA Director General Osei Assibey Antwi described the claims as "baseless and unfounded" and reassured the public of the Authority's commitment to transparency and accountability.
To address the accusations, the NSA has requested a thorough investigation by the National Investigation Bureau (NIB).
The NSA also acknowledged a petition from the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) to the Special Prosecutor and pledged full cooperation in the probe.
The Authority called for restraint in making premature judgments and reaffirmed its dedication to upholding proper processes.
