Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley passes away after short illness

Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, has died.

He passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a brief illness.

Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Director of the NDC, confirmed his death.

On Facebook, he shared a heartfelt message about Yalley.

He wrote, “A great man has fallen; a man who gave his all for the cause of the NDC. It is truly heart-wrenching.”

Gyamfi added, “Rest well in the bosom of your Maker, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley. You shall forever remain in our hearts.”

Ambassador Yalley was a distinguished lawyer and diplomat.

He held several prominent government positions throughout his career.

Before becoming Ambassador to India in 2014, he served as Deputy CEO of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority under President John Dramani Mahama.
