Anfoega Traditional Council denies ban on NDC activities

The Anfoega Traditional Council in the Volta Region has denied reports about the Paramount Chief.

Reports claimed that Togbe Tepre Hodo IV banned activities of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area.

In a statement, the Anfoega State Secretariat called these reports “palpable falsehood.” They urged the public to ignore them.

The statement said, “Togbe Hodo has not banned NDC activities in his traditional area.”

The council confirmed that no such directive has been issued by the Paramount Chief.

They emphasized that Togbe Hodo has not restricted any political party's activities, including the NDC.

The council also demanded an apology from whoever published this false information.

They requested a retraction and an unqualified apology to Togbe Tepre Hodo IV and the people of Anfoega.

The statement concluded with reassurance of peace among Togbe Tepre Hodo, his subjects, and all political parties.

The Anfoega Traditional Council remains committed to peace and political tolerance ahead of upcoming elections.

Editor's note: We apologize to Togbe Tepre Hodo IV for any embarrassment caused by our earlier story.
