Traditional leaders of the Anlo Kingdom in the Volta Region have formally petitioned the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to identify the Member of Parliament responsible for verbally attacking Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings, the Klottey-Korle MP, during parliamentary proceedings on February 4.
The petition, which also mentions two MPs initially suspected but later cleared, demands clarity before February 10.
The abusive remarks—“Daughter of a murderer, sit down!”—were made amid tense debates, including a speech by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
The incident, aimed at Rawlings, the first daughter of Ghana's former president Jerry John Rawlings, has led to public outrage, with calls for justice and accountability.
