Emmanuel Felix Mantey has filed a lawsuit challenging the appointment of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
President Nana Akufo-Addo appointed Yohuno on July 17, 2024, based on the Police Council's advice.
Mantey seeks a court order to prevent Yohuno from assuming the role and to restrain the Attorney General and the Police Council from furthering the appointment.
Additionally, on July 30, legal practitioner Justice Abdulai filed a similar suit against the same appointment, highlighting ongoing legal disputes over the decision.
