Antagonism not the way to fix GFA issues – Kofi Adams

Minister for Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams has warned against confrontation within the Ghana Football Association (GFA). He emphasized the need for collaboration and constructive problem-solving.

For years, there have been perceptions of power struggles in sports. This is especially true between the Ministry and the GFA. However, Adams believes that confrontation should be a last resort.

In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Channel One TV’s Face to Face, he stressed working together with stakeholders. “Being an antagonist should be the last thing you must adopt as a leader,” he stated.

Adams acknowledged existing challenges but prefers to focus on solutions. “I see problems, but I don’t see human beings as the problems,” he explained. He believes identifying issues is crucial for resolution.

However, he warned that those who obstruct progress may become part of the problem. “If you continue to be an obstacle, then you are a problem,” he added. His comments come amid ongoing discussions about reform and accountability in Ghana’s sports administration.
