Aquila Beausoleil Partners UCC Law Faculty To Offer Scholarships

The University of Cape Coast's Faculty of Law has signed a new agreement. This Memorandum of Understanding is with Aquila Beausoleil, a passionate young law student.

The program is called the “Aquila Beausoleil-UCC Law Scholarship.” It aims to provide financial support to deserving law students. This scholarship is significant as it is the first long-term privately funded initiative.

It will help make legal education more accessible for less privileged students. Aquila Beausoleil, who initiated this program, is determined and entrepreneurial. She dreams of studying law and leaving a lasting legacy.

Funding comes from her parents, Mr. Victor Beausoleil and Ama Beausoleil. They want to show the power of community and unity through this initiative.

The Faculty of Law describes the MoU as groundbreaking on its website. They see it as a milestone for supporting deserving law students financially. The faculty appreciates Aquila’s parents for their generous support.

They believe this scholarship will help alleviate challenges faced by many students. The faculty expressed gratitude to Victor and Ama Beausoleil for their contribution. They also thanked Dean Julia Selman Ayetey for finalizing the scholarship terms.

According to the Faculty, this scholarship aims to widen access to education. It promotes community service and enhances professional networks among students. The initiative seeks to empower future legal minds in Ghana.

The spirit behind the scholarship reflects an African proverb: “Fast alone or far together.”
