Three people are being treated at Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital. They were attacked by armed robbers at Gomoa Dominase Junction in the Central Region.
A father and his children were injured during the robbery. They were returning home from the Onion Market when the attack happened.
This is the third armed robbery case reported in three days.
On Saturday, the same robbers allegedly targeted a restaurant at Okyereko Junction. They stole an undisclosed amount of money. On Sunday, they blocked the Kasoa-Winneba Highway and robbed commuters.
On Monday, they attacked the father and his children.
Rahman Alhassan, Zongo Chief of Gomoa Dominase Junction, spoke to Adom News. He said the robbers followed their victim from the Onion Market. When they reached his house, they demanded money.
Chief Alhassan stated that when the father refused to give money, the robbers opened fire. The victims suffered injuries to their heads, backs, hands, and legs.
