Arteta wants 'important player' Thomas Partey to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants the club to extend Thomas Partey's contract.

Many feared he might leave, but Arteta believes he deserves an extension.

"Consistency-wise, it’s been his best season," Arteta said before their last game.

He praised Partey’s performance and availability as exceptional. "He’s a really important player for us," Arteta added. "Yeah, I want him to stay."

Partey is attracting interest from several clubs, including Juventus and Barcelona. There is also interest from Saudi Arabia.
