After nearly seven months abroad for medical care, Nana Bediatuo Asante, former Executive Secretary to ex-President Akufo-Addo, has returned to Ghana.
He arrived at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) early Saturday aboard a chartered flight from the U.S., reportedly under discreet arrangements.
Sources say he appeared frail and disoriented, a stark contrast to his previously vibrant persona.
Asante had remained in the U.S. after falling ill during an official trip with Akufo-Addo to the United Nations.
While the reason for his return remains unclear, speculation arises over whether the new Mahama administration discontinued his treatment funding or if his family facilitated his return.
His arrival has reignited public discussion about his health and prolonged absence.
