Asantehene leads Bawku mediation at Manyhia Palace

Mediation talks to resolve the Bawku conflict have started. They are taking place at the Jubilee Auditorium of Manhyia Palace. This palace is the seat of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the mediator.

On Tuesday at 12:21 PM, one faction arrived. This group is believed to be the Mamprusis. They came in a sprinter bus with heavy security.

The meeting will occur in two phases. Each group will meet separately. The Mamprusis will go first, followed by the Kusasis.

Key stakeholders from the conflict area began arriving in Kumasi on Monday. They came ahead of these important talks.
