Members of the Ashanti Regional NDC Taskforce have accused party leadership of neglect, claiming they were "used and dumped" after working to secure votes in the 2024 elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Kumasi, coordinator Maxwell Hope, aka ‘I Don’t Want Peace,’ revealed that before the elections, NDC's Lt. Col. (Rtd) Larry Gbevlo-Lartey promised them National Security jobs if they helped the party achieve a 29% vote target.
The taskforce exceeded expectations with 35%, but three months after victory, they say no promises have been fulfilled.
They are now calling on President Mahama and Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to intervene, warning that failure to do so could cost the party loyal support in 2028.
