AshantiFest; ARCC partners MTN Ghana to stage a major musical event on Easter Saturday.

Music lovers and young people will gather on Saturday evening. They will enjoy performances from famous music icons.

This event is part of the Ashanti Fest, celebrating Easter in the region. Various artists will entertain fans with their music.

Performers include Y-Pee, Mass Mello, Bosoma, Strongman, Seven Kiss, and Allo Dancers. Members of the Asakaa Boys, like YGA O’Kenneth and Beetztrap, will also perform.

The concert is sponsored by MTN and organized by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC). It aims to create excitement for residents during the Easter holidays.

These hiplife and highlife groups are known for their energetic performances. They are expected to bring joy to concert-goers.

As of now, Rattray Park is being prepared for the large crowd expected on Saturday.

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, shared that the festival idea came from youth during a clean-up exercise.

He asked for ideas on social media to sustain the event for two weeks. A series of events were planned for this ten-day celebration in the region.

“The Ashanti Festival showcases our sectors and promotes inter-sectorial support,” he said.

The festival has entered its final phase filled with entertainment activities. Previous events included a boxing night, football games, and a jama competition.

Inmates at Kumasi Central Prisons participated as well. The minister led a medical screening there.

A blood donation exercise was also held alongside the screening and was open to the public.
