The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has made an appeal. He asked the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) to help fight corruption.
Iddrisu emphasized the important role accountants play in this battle. Corruption is a major issue affecting the country's development. He urged the Institute to take a strong interest in this fight.
The Minister spoke during the inauguration of a new governing council. This council has 13 members and was inaugurated in Accra yesterday.
The council members include President Mr. Augustine Addo and Vice President Reverend Dr. Cynthia Ayorkor Sallah. Other members are Mrs. Patience Mawushie Dzikunoo, Mr. Thomas Kwesi Esso, Dr. Frank Gbadago, Ms. Frances Enyonam Sosoo, and Mrs. Belinda Dede Tandoh.
