Former Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah, has called on the government to avoid over-politicizing the military.
His remarks come after the Minority Leader's public plea regarding the allocation of slots amidst tough questions posed to Defence Minister-designate Dr. Omane Boamah.
In an interview with Starr News, Nunoo-Mensah emphasized the importance of the military maintaining its neutrality, stressing that its primary mission is to safeguard the nation, not to serve any political party.
He cautioned that any political interference within the military could pose a serious threat to national security.
