Former Attorney General Nii Ayikoi Otoo is skeptical about President John Dramani Mahama's 120-day social contract. He believes it is an election-season strategy to gain votes.
Mr. Otoo advised Ghanaians to be cautious with such promises. He suggested they are often unrealistic and politically motivated.
He pointed out that campaign pledges are common during elections. However, those with strict timelines, like Mahama’s 120-day promise, deserve skepticism.
“Ghanaians must scrutinize these promises,” Otoo said. He warned that specific deadlines often serve to sway public opinion rather than represent real commitments.
Otoo spoke on Asaase Radio’s The Forum on Saturday, April 19.
