Baako suro – A Plus deletes “If you are an old fool, I’ll reset your brain. Stupid man!” post

Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A Plus, is the MP for Gomoa Central. He deleted a Facebook post on May 1, 2025. The post was directed at Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine.

A Plus accused Dr. Ayine of bribery and corruption. He claimed that Ayine sought GH¢500,000 to bribe Parliament's Appointment Committee. A Plus called Dr. Ayine an "old fool" and suggested he needed a brain reset.

In his Facebook post, A Plus wrote about the alleged bribe. He stated that Dr. Ayine was not alone in this behavior. After posting, A Plus deleted it but did not apologize or retract his statement.

Dr. Ayine challenged A Plus to provide evidence of corruption against him. He emphasized that he is not part of the Finance Committee and cannot influence its decisions.

At a media briefing on April 30, 2025, Dr. Ayine defended his integrity. He claimed he has never stolen or accepted bribes in public office. He stated that if there were questions about his integrity, President Mahama would not have appointed him.

Dr. Ayine invited A Plus to hold a press conference with evidence against him. He expressed confidence in facing any accusations made by A Plus.

He also dismissed threats from A Plus as laughable since he has nothing to hide. Dr. Ayine mentioned that campaign contributions do not equate to theft or corruption.

He noted that if receiving donations is considered corrupt, many MPs would be guilty too.

Additionally, Dr. Ayine has thought about filing a defamation suit against A Plus but prefers focusing on his work for President Mahama instead.
