Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, Ghana's longest-serving legislator and Speaker of Parliament, has been honored with the Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement Award by the African Public Sector Conference and Awards (APSCA).
This accolade celebrates his outstanding contributions to governance, including his roles as Minister for Health and Water Resources.
The APSCA lauded his democratic leadership and commitment to public service.
Though initially scheduled to receive the award in Botswana, pressing parliamentary duties led to a private presentation in his office.
Expressing gratitude, Speaker Bagbin noted the significance of being recognized for his years of service.
APSCA, represented by Madam Carol Opata, highlighted the award's aim to inspire innovation and excellence among African leaders.
