Barcelona sign Ghana beach soccer star Alexander Adjei

Barcelona Beach Soccer Club has signed Ghanaian star Alexander Adjei. He joins from Sea Sharks Beach Soccer Club.

Adjei is the first Ghanaian beach soccer player to move abroad. This marks a significant step in his professional career.

He is considered one of Africa's best beach soccer players. Adjei was the top scorer at the Africa Cup of Nations twice. He scored 17 goals in Seychelles in 2015 and 11 goals in Egypt in 2024.

Adjei is known for his strength, speed, and finishing skills. He has been a key player for both his club and the national team, Black Sharks.

Leo Braga, the Brazilian coach of Barcelona Beach Soccer Club, confirmed Adjei's signing. He stated that they have monitored Adjei's development closely. Braga believes he can enhance their team for the upcoming season.

This signing aims to improve Barcelona’s attack and attract attention to African beach soccer.

After the announcement, Adjei expressed his excitement. He said it’s a dream come true and he feels proud to represent Ghana internationally.
