Private legal practitioner and Fix the Country Movement leader, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has alleged that the previous Akufo-Addo administration attempted to remove Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II as a judge for granting him bail in his treason trial.
In a Facebook post, Barker-Vormawor claimed that the government, through the Judicial Council, sought to reassign his case to another judge to keep him in custody.
He further accused the previous administration of manipulating the judiciary for political gains.
His comments follow former Attorney General Godfred Dame’s defense of high-profile case withdrawals.
Barker-Vormawor dismissed Dame’s concerns over alleged attacks on the judiciary, accusing the former government of fostering judicial fear and control.
