Bawku mediation put on hold

The mediation talks to resolve the Bawku conflict are on hold.

This decision follows meetings with the Mamprusis and Kusasis factions.

They introduced themselves to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, separately on Tuesday.

Previously, it was announced that mediation would occur from April 29 to May 1.

Key stakeholders arrived on Monday for these discussions.

A reliable source at Manhyia Palace stated a new date will be set soon.

The factions have returned to their respective areas for now.
