Bawumia, NPP leadership begin nationwide ‘Thank You Tour’ April 23

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will start a nationwide "Thank You Tour." This tour begins on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the party's Headquarters in Asylum Down. The next stop will be on Saturday, April 26, in the Western Region.

This initiative comes after the NPP's defeat in the 2024 general elections to the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The NPP's National Council has endorsed this tour. It aims to thank party members and the public for their support during the elections.

The theme of the tour is "In All Things, Give Thanks to God" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). This reflects the party's commitment to divine guidance and unity. The tour will cover all sixteen regions of Ghana. It will include regional and constituency gatherings for direct engagement with leadership.

The Ashanti Region will have a special three-day program from April 29 to May 1, due to its political importance. The tour is set to conclude in the Central Region on June 4, 2025.

The NPP encourages its members and supporters to participate actively in local events. On Monday, April 21, Henry Nana Boakye, NPP's National Organiser, stated that this tour would end with national interfaith thanksgiving services. These services will include both Christian and Islamic traditions to promote gratitude and reflection.
