Bawumia Shows Love To Kumasi Fire Victims -Donates GH¢200k, 1000 Bags Of Cement

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President, visited Adum in Kumasi yesterday. He is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 elections. During his visit, he presented ₵200,000 and 1,000 bags of cement to fire victims.

Last Friday's fire destroyed hundreds of shops and properties. Many individuals lost their investments and livelihoods in the disaster. Dr. Bawumia's donation aims to help these victims resettle after this tragedy.

He was joined by former Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah, NPP MPs, and party executives. His gesture reflects his empathy for the pain experienced by affected traders and families.

The ₵200,000 will help meet immediate needs like food and clothing. It will also support medical care and rebuilding efforts in the area. The 1,000 bags of cement are intended for reconstructing damaged buildings.

Dr. Bawumia expressed sympathy for the victims during his visit. He urged organizations and individuals to assist those affected by the fire. "I am deeply saddened by this devastating incident," he stated.

He called on the government and National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to act quickly. "We must work together to provide relief," he emphasized. Traders praised Dr. Bawumia for his quick response and generosity during this difficult time.
