Bawumia commends Oquaye committee's insightful report

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the 2024 Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He praised the Oquaye Committee for its "comprehensive and insightful" report on the party's future.

On Wednesday, April 23rd, he spoke at the NPP headquarters in Accra. Dr. Bawumia commended the committee for its hard work and strategic recommendations. He believes these will guide party unity and electoral success.

"The Oquaye Committee's work shows deep intellectual rigor," Dr. Bawumia said. It also reflects a strong understanding of party values and Ghanaian aspirations.

He highlighted that the report includes lessons from past elections. It offers innovative ideas for organizing the party and emphasizes inclusiveness and grassroots engagement.

Dr. Bawumia noted that the NPP is at a critical crossroads. The committee’s findings are timely and important for moving forward.

The Oquaye Committee was chaired by Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, a former Speaker of Parliament. They were tasked with reviewing internal structures and making strategic recommendations for long-term strength.

Dr. Bawumia confirmed that many proposals from the committee will be included in the upcoming 'Thank You Tour.' This tour aims to strengthen party support nationwide and engage directly with voters.
