Bawumia Meets NPP Chairman Wontumi Amid Tensions

Former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia met with NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known as Chairman Wontumi.

This meeting took place at the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

Minority Leader Alex Afenyo-Markin also had access to Boasiako.

Boasiako was arrested on May 27 and later transferred to the NIB.

He is under investigation for fraud and money laundering.

Authorities are looking into financial losses to the state as well.

There are ongoing asset recovery processes related to suspected crime proceeds.

Additionally, Boasiako faces a second investigation linked to international organized crime.
