Bawumia mourns Pope Francis’s passing

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is mourning Pope Francis's death. The Vatican confirmed he passed away early Monday.

Dr. Bawumia shared his sorrow on Facebook. He offered condolences to the Catholic community in Ghana and worldwide.

He expressed deep grief over the Pope's passing. "It is with deep grief that I learned of the passing of His Holiness," he wrote.

Dr. Bawumia praised the Pope’s legacy of peace, humility, and inclusiveness. He described him as a global spiritual icon whose values crossed borders and religions.

"The late Pope was a man of unwavering peace and compassion," he said. "He lived a life admired by many around the world."

Dr. Bawumia recalled visiting the Pope last year. He noted how the Pope left a remarkable impression on him.

"His true essence was to live pure and right," he added.

He joined the Catholic community in mourning this significant loss. "Please accept my most sincere condolences," he stated.
