Bawumia’s ADC alleges raiding of his home by armed National Security officers

Superintendent Yakubu Issahaku, Aide-de-Camp to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, reported a raid on his home.

The incident occurred on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Sapeiman, Accra.

Issahaku learned about the raid via WhatsApp at 6:14 p.m. A friend informed him that around 30 masked and armed military personnel entered his residence.

He claims the operatives ransacked his property and caused significant damage.

Reported damages include broken security doors and disconnected CCTV systems. They also removed internet routers, switches, and the home's hard disk.

Issahaku stated that all rooms were searched without explanation or legal justification.

He identified the operation's leader as a police superintendent stationed at Jubilee House. This officer operates from the Blue Gate.

Issahaku knows this officer personally, raising concerns about the raid's motive and legality.

The incident has raised serious questions about state security operatives' actions. It also highlights issues regarding treatment of individuals linked to former officials.
