Bawumia visits injured KNUST student at KATH, donates GH¢50k to support medical expenses

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's 2024 Presidential Candidate, visited a KNUST student. The student was stabbed in Kumasi on Monday, April 28. Dr. Bawumia donated GH¢50,000 for the student's medical expenses. The student is currently receiving treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

Herbert is a member of the Unity Hall “jama group” at KNUST. He provided cheer songs during the NPP’s “Thank You Tour” on April 29. After the event, he was stabbed during a misunderstanding over money.

Dr. Bawumia visited Herbert on Wednesday evening, April 30. He was accompanied by key NPP officials during this visit. He expressed sympathy and best wishes to Herbert and thanked Allah for his survival.

Dr. Bawumia wished Herbert a speedy recovery. The victim’s grandmother received the donation on his behalf. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bawumia and the NPP delegation for their support.
