Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia visited Herbert, a KNUST student. Herbert was stabbed by an unknown person in Kumasi on Monday night.
He was part of the Unity Hall group that performed cheer songs at an NPP event. The stabbing occurred after a misunderstanding over money with another group. This other group has not yet been identified.
Herbert is currently receiving treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Dr. Bawumia is on a thank you tour in the Ashanti Region.
He visited Herbert on Wednesday evening at the hospital. Accompanied by NPP officials, he expressed his sympathies and best wishes to the student.
Dr. Bawumia donated GH 50,000 Cedis to help with medical expenses. Herbert's grandmother received the money and thanked Dr. Bawumia for his kindness.
Dr. Bawumia also thanked Allah for saving Herbert's life and wished him a speedy recovery.
