**Richard Quaye's Accounts Frozen After Birthday Bash**
The Financial Intelligence Centre has frozen accounts linked to Richard Nii-Armah Quaye. This includes his companies, Bills Micro-Credit and Quick Credit and Investment Micro-Credit.
Citi News reports that the accounts of CEO Romeo-Richlove Kweku Seshie are also frozen. The directive was issued on March 21, 2025.
This action follows a personal income tax assessment by the Ghana Revenue Authority. The exact amount involved has not been disclosed yet.
The freeze is part of routine checks to ensure tax compliance. Recently, an import duty issue on one of Quaye's vehicles was resolved.
This assessment comes shortly after Quaye's widely publicized 40th birthday party. It remains unclear if the investigation began before or after this event.
Bills Micro Credit Limited stated its operations are separate from Quaye’s personal finances. They clarified that they did not fund his private purchases or events. Additionally, Quaye is not the CEO of Bills Micro Credit Limited.
Many people had connected Bills Micro Credit to Quaye’s lavish celebration.
