The Member of Parliament for Binduri, Issifu Mahmoud, has made a statement. He assured residents that steps are being taken to restore peace. This follows recent violent attacks in the area. A tragic incident involved the killing of a mother and her four children in Benguri.
In a press release on April 21, the MP highlighted his collaboration with security agencies. He aims to bring the attackers to justice and prevent further violence. “We are working closely with relevant authorities,” he stated.
The Binduri MP praised the military for their quick actions. They arrested suspects and seized weapons linked to the incident. He encouraged security agencies to continue their efforts until peace is restored across Kusaug.
However, he raised concerns about motorbikes being burned by the military. He urged that all seizures should follow legal procedures. “I commend the military for their professionalism in making arrests,” he said.
He condemned the burning of motorbikes and called for proper custody instead. The MP asked residents to remain calm and vigilant during this time. He encouraged cooperation with law enforcement as events unfold.
